Q: How do I find my serial number?

A: Click on this link: E-Z-GO Serial Number Lookup. You can also find this link again by clicking on “Serial Number Lookup” at the top of our website.

Q: How do I know what make, model and year my E-Z-GO vehicle is?

A: To find this information, you can use the My Vehicle Tool of ShopEZGO. Or, you can get started by clicking on the ‘My Vehicle’ tab on our website as shown below.

Q: How do I become an E-Z-GO dealer?

A: Interested in becoming an authorized E-Z-GO dealer? Visit our website at www.ezgo.com under the “About E-Z-GO” tab for further information on becoming a dealer.

This page will provide information on how you can take advantage of business opportunities with a global brand that is well known for its quality and reputation. Q: Where is the closest dealer to me?

Q: Will this part fit my vehicle?

A: When on the product page of specific part or kit, click on the “Vehicles” tab to find a drop down of every vehicle that is compatible with that part number. Or see question 2 to learn about using My Vehicle, which will sort the catalog for parts and accessories specific to your vehicle.

Q: I have a part number that is not being recognized on the website.

A: If your part number contains a “-“, remove the “-“. Example: 70795-G01 = 70795G01

    Include the full part number in the search box, not just the prefix. Example: for part 70795-G01 instead of only entering "70795", enter "70795G01".

Q: Can I receive a tax exemption for my purchase on Shopezgo.com?

A: Shopezgo.com is a full retail site and as a result we are required to charge tax. If you are interested in tax exemptions, please contact a local authorized E-Z-GO dealer. Click here to find your local dealer.

Q: Where can I find the serial number on my E-Z-GO vehicle?

A: The serial number is mostly found near the passenger side glove box area, or under the charger port on an electric car or choke on a gas car. You can also reference our Serial Number Lookup page or watch E-Z-GO TV on how to locate your serial number.

Q: What is the proper oil to gas ratio for a 2 cycle engine? Is there a oil to gas ratio for a 4 cycle engine?

A: The oil to gas mixture ratio is 1 ounce / 1 gallon (for 2 cycle engines only). 4 cycle engines do not require a mixture and take regular gasoline.

Q: Where can I purchase Bad Boy Buggies parts and accessories?

Q: Can I find E-Z-GO parts and accessories outside of the United States? Are there international dealers?

A:  The answer to both of these questions is yes. See the list of international authorized E-Z-GO dealers to find parts and accessories outside of the United States.

Q: Does E-Z-GO offer selt belts for all vehicles?

A: Seat belts are available on the street legal E-Z-GO 2Five. We do not sell seat belts for vehicles that do not have roll over protection.

Q: What are some ways to get optimum performance out of my batteries?

A: The best places to find information about battery care and maintenance, charging and troubleshooting are your owner's manual and specific charger instructions. Here are some general best practices:

  • Charge your golf cart after each use. Our batteries do not have a memory and do not need to be fully discharged before charging. 
  • Allow for 10-14 hours for changer. Only remove the charger when it shuts off on its own. 
  • Perform monthly inspections on your batteries including:
    • inspecting wiring for fraying, loose terminations, and corrosion or deterioration of insulation
    • check the electrolyte and water levels (refer to manuals for battery watering instructions)
    • clean batteries with a baking soda and water solution (1/4 cup or 60 ml of baking soda mixed with 1 1/2 gallons or 6 liters of clear water) with a garden-type sprayer with a non-metallic spray wand.

These are only a few tips for battery care and maintenance. Refer to your owner's manual for complete information and detailed instructions. Read and follow all safety information and guidlines provided.

Q: What is the best way to clean the windshield on my E-Z-GO vehicle?

A: The best way to clean the windshield is to use a wash cloth and mild soap and water solution. Do not use glass cleaners with ammonia (such as Windex) or multi-surface cleaners. These products will lead to windshield cracking and damage.

Q: How often should I check the electrolyte level of my batteries? If I need to fill, what is the correct level?

A: We recommend checking the levels monthly. The correct electrolyte level is 1/2" (13mm) above the plates in each cell. This level leaves approximately 1/4" - 3/8" (6-10mm) of space between the electrolyte level and the vent tube. For more information see the battery maintenance and charging section in your owner's manual. 

Q: How often should I change the oil on my E-Z-GO golf car?

A: We recommend checking the oil level for the engine on a monthly basis at a minimum, being mindful that you should check it more frequently depending on your usage. We recommend replacing your engine oil and filter semi-annually (or 125 rounds / 600 miles). For new engines, your initial oil change should be after 8 hours of run time. Use 10W-30 oil for your golf car. Be sure to see your owner's manual for complete information regrding engine maintenance, service and safety guidlines.

Q: Where can I find the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for cleaning/protectant products on the website?

A: The MSDS for cleaning and/or protectants products on Shopezgo.com is available in the 'Documents' tab located towards the bottom of the product page. If you are looking for an MSDS for a product and cannot find it on the website, please contact us for more information.

Q: What do the different blinking lights mean on my E-Z-GO charger?

A: The following blinking LED lights indicate different status of charge:

     Short green flash = less 80% charged
     Long green flash = more than 80% charged
     Solid green light = 100% charged
     Red flash = fault code, charging erorr. For descriptions of fault codes, please refer to your owner's manual.

Q: Is the VIN on my E-Z-GO 2Five the same as the serial number?

A: No, 2Five vehicles have both a VIN (vehicle identification number) and a serial number. The serial number can be entered into Shopezgo.com and used for the My Vehicle tool.
